Following on from my feedback sessions with my tutors, I have made significant improvements to my work. As the work can not be published, I cannot show the content in any variation unless they are screen shots.
Top Tips Video Edits
Are the top tips informational?
“They provide visual details of the equipment, but don’t mention details regarding pricing or availability. Look in to having links to the products on the Nottinghamshire County Council website at place them at the end of each video”. -Deborah
Is the concept clear?
“They show the products being demonstrated, and that helps me assess them and determine their relevance to me more easily”. – Deborah
Are the top tips visually pleasing and easy to see?
“Most of the top tips are well lit but some of the work from last year could have been a little better, but I understand this is out of your hands”. -Deborah
Are they consistent?
“Yes, the tone carries through from tip to tip and has a good flow from one video to another”. -Deborah
The NCC guidelines state that images of people that are used for council should be looking directly at the camera in a natural position, in which I have followed to make the website engaging and believable.
“The ‘home’ page should be deleted and the ‘about’ page should be made in to the home page, take some of the information from your original home page and place it in to the newly updated one, the ‘about’ page looks more inviting so it would look more appealing to the audience. The tabs at the top could also be enlarged as they could be hard for the elderly to look at. Also I think the website is a little text heave so maybe reduce the amount of text.” – Jools
